Title Companies
Central Weld County Water District requires notice of closings from title companies when transfer of ownership of a property in our District takes place. It is the responsibility of the Title Company to notify Central Weld County Water District of all closings. All closing requests must be submitted to Central Weld at least (3) three business days (72 hours) prior to the date of closing.

Central Weld County Water District does not give statuses on any property, as the final total charges will vary based on the date we are notified of the closing. Failure to comply with the requirements stated above may result in additional fees, to be billed to the buyer and/or seller.
If the closing date is canceled or delayed, please notify the office at least 48 hours in advance if possible. Notifying the office in a timely manner helps avoid inaccurate final meter reads and helps ensure correct final charges.

Owners
Central Weld County Water District requires notice when properties are purchased or sold. It is the responsibility of the Title Company to notify Central Weld County Water District of all closings. The Title Company should provide all closing information and documents to Central Weld from the seller to the buyer.
The Title Company must complete a closing request form and submit it to the Central Weld office via email or fax. Once the closing request form is submitted to Central Weld, a service call is written up for a Final Read Request on the current water tap on the property. Central Weld then submits final documents to the Title Company. The documents are to be signed by both the buyer and seller and the final water service charges are to be paid before any transfer of service is completed.
Sellers are strongly encouraged to call Central Weld at least (7) seven business days before the scheduled closing date to confirm that the Title Company has notified the office.
