Job Opening - Field Technician

Job Description and Pay 

Pay:
$60,000.00 per year

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, physically resilient field worker to join our utility team. This active role combines technical field tasks like meter reading, installation, and GIS data input with demanding physical labor. You will maintain water infrastructure, pump maintenance, chlorine inspections, tank maintenance, fire hydrant maintenance, perform repairs in all weather conditions, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
Physical Field Operations
: Repair water line leaks and maintain water tanks, pumps, and fire hydrants.
Technical Installations: Install, replace, and accurately read water meters.
Locating & Mapping: Locate underground waterlines and input accurate asset data into our GIS system.
System Inspections: Conduct regular chlorine testing and monitor water system safety.
Emergency Response: Respond to emergency service calls and participate in a rotating evening/weekend on-call schedule.
Facility Maintenance: Complete general cleaning, organization, and upkeep duties across the shop and office.

Physical Requirements:
All-Weather Stamina
: Ability to perform heavy manual labor outdoors during extreme heat, freezing cold, rain, or snow.
Strenuous Labor: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy tools and equipment up to 50 lbs regularly.
Mobility & Agility: Constant walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in tight spaces or uneven terrain.
Manual Dexterity: Capability to operate hand tools, heavy machinery, and electronic devices daily.

Job Qualifications
Licensing
: Valid Colorado driver's license with a clean driving record.
Screening: Ability to pass a mandatory background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Tech Skills: Solid computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with teammates and customers.
